Morning News Cycle by William Hudson

by Leslie Anne Mcilroy

The second plane wheeled

In a smooth slow arc

And seemed almost to crunch

Into the standing tower

Like some metal toy pressed

Into a cardboard construct

And forgotten there,

Tail sticking out

As we in the viewing world

Like quizzical kindergarteners

Tried to determine whether

This event pertained to us.
